A sad goodbye but an exciting new begining.

The big day finally came today when I had to give my Mom the hug goodbye that would have to last her for the next 5 months. She had the Uhaul loaded and the gas tank filled up and at 4am, left on her way to an exciting new beginning in Michigan. We were all so thrilled to finally get to meet Joe, her boyfriend for quiet some time now, even though it felt like knew each other already from the countless hours we had talked on the phone with him. But it was defiantly nice to put a name to a face. We had the privilege of meeting one of his awesome daughters, Lauren, on this visit as well. She was so much fun to have around for those few days. Despite the change in plans for her spring break, I think she had a pretty good time too. I think she probably would have preferred to stay in Florida a little while longer considering she was heading back to pouring rain and 45 degree weather! Yuck! Anyways, I can't wait to have them (and all the rest of the gang) back to stay with us in August. Until then, it's lots of phone calls, emails, pictures and blogging!!!!
